GOP, are you sure?
You must get to the polls – right? Why bother? It’s simple. Recently, Governor Ayotte had a group representing small-generation nuclear power developers visit NH. The aim of that visit was to decide where to place nuclear generation stations. Why? AI. Where might they operate? They need a lot of water. The Connecticut River. Why did Sununu stop the Northern Pass 100% sustainable energy delivered here – NO CO2? Good question. Answer: The GOP has been quiet because they are feeding from the same trough as the president himself. The billionaire class.
GOP states have, on average, poorer health, more crime, and fewer high-paying jobs. NH minimum wage? $7.25 an hour. Red states have less overall education and fewer opportunities. Red states vote against a woman’s right to make her own health choices. Many GOP representatives support disrupting elections, as seen by recent threats to election officials and the president’s attempt to curb mail-in voting. The GOP denies climate concerns, as the smoke from millions of acres of forests burn and hurricanes and typhoons ravage the planet and now removes restrictions from dirty fuel output. Us versus them? No. We are all in this together. It is time we realize how much we have in common and realize what we don’t.
We hug our children the same. Paying for gas ($4+) and groceries(up 30%) and home heating oil, ($1000 a tank) the same. Love for nature and the way we pick our tomatoes, the same. What isn’t the same, though, is GOP tax credits for the wealthy and the largest deficit in history and our awareness of that history. A vote for any Sununu or Ayotte or any GOP is a vote against common sense and common good. Higher prices should be proof enough.
