Savings Bank of Walpole has named Jeffrey Smith as vice president and commercial portfolio manager. Smith returns to the bank with more than two decades of experience in banking and finance, most recently serving as vice president, corporate treasurer, and investment officer at SBW affiliate New Hampshire Mutual Bancorp.
In his new role, Smith will work alongside the bank’s commercial lending team to assist local business clients with managing ongoing credit needs and financial strategy. His career background includes expertise in treasury management, investment portfolio oversight, liquidity strategy, financial analysis, and commercial credit review. He previously worked as a commercial credit analyst for Connecticut River Bank, N.A., and as an investment analyst for Cambridge Associates LLC in Boston.
Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts in economics from Keene State College and a certificate in accounting from Franklin Pierce College.
