Leominster, MA – Patricia Helen Silvestro passed away on Sunday, August 30th, 2026 at the age of 81. She was born in Fitchburg, MA, the first of eight children [Patricia, Peter, Jon, Jay, Robin, April, Alan, and Randy] to Arthur and Helen Goguen on March 27th, 1945. She was a devout Christian, wife, and mother. Patricia had two children, Maria and Eric, with her first husband Hans Chemello, where they settled in Temple, NH with the dreams of a young couple raising children and close to Hans’ employment in the plastics industry. Pat was involved with the local elementary school where she choreographed dances for the students plays. Dancing was a passion of hers, and she loved the serenity of rural living. Later in life she was remarried to Richard Silvestro, where she tended her beloved flower garden while Rick tended his beloved horses. She enjoyed seeing the plays at Franklin Pierce College where Rick worked as a stage designer in the Theatre Arts Department. Pat worked in Peterborough, NH, performing data entry for Brookestone Tool Company and later went on to edit children’s literature with Cobblestone Publishing. The winter commute over Temple Mountain pass always worried her, but she faithfully commuted through the inclement weather to get to her job. A devout Lutheran, church and scripture guided her life. She was a kind spirited person who truly desired to be sincere and loving. After over fifty years in Temple, she moved back to her childhood region of the Fitchburg/Leominster area, wanting to be closer to the comforts of family. Generous in nature, she gave to her favorite charities. Attending services at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Westminster was a deep passion of hers. Christmas was her favorite time of the year and she loved decorating her living space with holiday cheer. Pat was a really good cook and baker, especially her sour cream coffee cake, which people would often inquire about. She traveled throughout her life to places such as Europe, Canada, The Bahamas, Jamaica, Hawaii, Oregon, California, Arizona, Colorado, and ventured down the eastern seaboard from Maine to Florida. Loved by many, Patricia will be dearly missed, and in heaven, may she find the peace and well being she deserves.
Her service will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026 with a funeral service in Our Savior Lutheran Church,1 Hager Park Rd, Westminster, MA followed by Interment in Woodside Cemetery, Narrows Rd., Westminster, MA . All are welcome to attend.
