The Monadnock Center for History and Culture will host a walking tour of West Peterborough on Saturday, Aug. 22, at 10:30 a.m.

The tour covers 200 years of village history, including the leaders who shaped its industry, the site of Peterborough’s only documented Underground Railroad station, the town’s longest-running district schoolhouse, and three 20th-century disasters that led to the construction of MacDowell Dam.

Tickets are $12, or $10 for Monadnock Center members, and must be purchased in advance at MonadnockCenter.org.
