Registration is now open for Monadnock Trails Week, a five-day trail maintenance event taking place Sept. 10–14 throughout the Monadnock region. Marking its 20th anniversary, the annual event is a collaborative effort between the Society for the Protection of New Hampshire Forests and New Hampshire State Parks to maintain and improve local hiking trails.
No prior trail work experience is required. Professional crew leaders will assign volunteers to projects based on individual experience, preferred hiking distance, and desired intensity level. Small groups are welcome to participate together, and affinity crews may be formed based on volunteer interest.
