Historian Louis P. Masur will close the Monadnock Summer Lyceum’s 2026 season on Sunday, Aug. 23, with a lecture on Abraham Lincoln’s leadership style.
The program begins at 11 a.m. in the Peterborough Unitarian Universalist Church sanctuary, preceded by musical performances by Wendy Keith and Walden Whitman at 10:30 a.m. Dr. Mary Kelly, professor of history at Franklin Pierce University, will moderate the presentation, which will be followed by an audience question-and-answer session and an informal reception.
Masur is the Board of Governors Distinguished Professor of American Studies and History at Rutgers University and the author of several books, including “Lincoln’s Last Speech.”
