On Saturday in Peterborough, at the Routes 101 and 202 crossroads, more than 280 people joined the “No Kings, Vote Early” nationwide rally despite cold temperatures and chilly winds.

As New Hampshire is one of three states that does not allow early voting, signs at the Peterborough demonstration emphasized the importance of voting on Nov. 3.

More than 280 demonstrators stretched in all directions on Route 101. In addition to the themes seen at other “No Kings” protests — mostly anti-Trump — signs encouraged people to vote in the midterm elections.

There was at least one sign specific to Ballot Question 2 — which poses a local school property tax cap to all New Hampshire voters — urging people to vote “no.” Many people wore blue and waved flags, representing hopes for a blue wave at the polls.
