The Historical Society of Cheshire County will open “Zukes No Cukes,” an exhibit on the history of the 1980s International Zucchini Festival, at its main exhibit gallery at 246 Main St. in Keene.
A public reception will take place on Sept. 2 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The exhibit runs through Dec. 31.
Admission is $5, which includes an exhibit gallery comic and one “gadzuke” token for the society’s International Zucchini Festival on Oct. 3. HSCC members and youth under 18 receive free admission.
The exhibit features original photographs, festival ephemera, video footage, interviews, and interactive displays. The society is accepting loans of festival-related items through Aug. 28. Submissions can be made in person or by emailing hscc@hsccnh.org. For details, visit hsccnh.org.
