Peterborough Pedal Together, a local inclusive cycling initiative, was awarded a $10,000 grant to expand its adaptive biking programs across the Monadnock region.
The grant was awarded by 100+ Women Who Care Monadnock following a live pitch presentation at the RiverMead Auditorium. Pedal Together presented alongside regional non-profits Children and the Arts and The Well School. Each organization delivered a five-minute pitch followed by a five-minute question-and-answer period before members voted on the funding award.
Launched in March 2026, Pedal Together operates in partnership with the Peterborough Recreation Department under the fiscal sponsorship of Friends of Peterborough Recreation Projects, a 501(c)(3) organization. Group organizers say the $10,000 award will directly fund equipment needed to scale operations and address a growing rider waitlist.
Co-founder and volunteer Elizabeth Goodhue said the initiative helps strengthen local social connections by bringing together community members of all physical and cognitive abilities on regional rail trails.
