The Monadnock Housing Collaborative will host a free public forum on Wednesday, July 29, focused on tools and financial resources available to expand housing options in the region.
The event, “Resources for Making Housing Developments Come to Life,” will run from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the Savings Bank of Walpole, 84 Marlboro St.
Housing experts and municipal leaders will discuss local and state mechanisms for housing creation, including:
- How municipalities use the Community Revitalization Tax Relief program (RSA 79-E) to support residential infill projects.
- Potential expansions to project eligibility following the passage of House Bill 1103.
- Financial support for construction, rehabilitation, and redevelopment via the Monadnock Economic Development Corporation’s Monadnock Housing Development Fund.
Speakers will include City of Keene planners Mari Brunner and Paul Andrus, Sarah Wrightsman of New Hampshire Housing, State Rep. Jodi Newell, Burrell House Inn owner Josh Gorman and Monadnock Economic Development Corporation Director Cody Morrison.
The forum is free and open to the public, with light refreshments provided. Advance registration is strongly recommended at muw.org/mhc due to limited seating.
