Elect Melanie Levesque District 5 Executive Council

Melanie Levesque is running for the District 5 Executive Council seat currently held by David Wheeler. The Executive Council position is one of the most important in our state as it shares responsibility with the governor for approval of contracts and executive appointments.
Melanie has been both a State Representative (2006-2010) and a State Senator (2018-2020) with a track record of outstanding advocacy for education, healthcare and transportation issues. Most importantly, Melanie is thoughtful, kind, and incredibly approachable. She listens to the needs of the people and advocates for them, not some political ideology.
I urge the people of District 5, which includes my town of Rindge, to vote for Melanie on Nov. 3.
While taxpayers struggle with unsustainable local property taxes, Melanie’s opponent, David Wheeler, has rejected funding on ideological grounds. Just recently, he voted “No” on $1.2 million in federal funding for New Hampshire childcare providers because the term “DEI” was in the contract. During his 14 years serving on the Executive Council, Wheeler has refused funding for public education, disability rights and women’s healthcare.
We can’t afford David Wheeler if we want our state to thrive.
Please elect Melanie Levesque as our Executive Council member for District 5. She will work hard to lower our property taxes, appoint competent people to executive positions and put the people of New Hampshire ahead of politics.
Thank you!

Patricia Martin, Rindge
