Wake Up America
With the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America finally here, we should be celebrating the benefits of living in the greatest country on earth.
Do we still have problems? Yes, but we are still the freest, most prosperous, most opportunistic, most generous people on the planet. Just look at the reactions of the thousands of foreign visitors who are here for the World Cup. They are marveling at our lifestyle, while we are tearing ourselves apart.
The politics of hate has left us more divided than any time since the Civil War.
Several negative trends are converging to challenge 250 years of progress toward the American Dream, and unless reversed, will dramatically transform this nation.
1. Two generations of American youth, raised in the affluence of a capitalistic economy, who have had everything given to them, are infatuated with socialism.
2. A steady influx of Muslim extremists into American politics has given new impetus to adopt Shira law, which is abhorrent to our Constitution and our traditional values. While we must guard against prejudice against all Muslims, we must be watchful of the extremists and remove them from the country.
3. The once proud Democratic Party has been taken over by its radical left wing of America haters, want to open our borders, eliminate the deportation of illegal aliens, while giving them free food, housing, education and medical care.
4. Hatred of President Trump has blinded many otherwise rational Democrats into ignoring all of the above, as the fabric of our democracy continues to erode.
At my age, I will not be alive to see it, but our next generation may live in an entirely different country.
