Worcester Polytechnic Institute has named four local students to its dean’s list for academic excellence for the spring 2026 semester.

Unlike most universities, WPI does not compute a grade point average. Instead, students are selected based on the amount of work completed at the “A” level in courses and hands-on projects.

The following area students were recognized:

  • Augustine Gomez of Dublin, class of 2029, majoring in mechanical engineering.
  • Kade Fletcher of Greenfield, class of 2029, majoring in robotics engineering.
  • Kai Reitnauer of Hancock, class of 2029, majoring in mechanical engineering.
  • Timothy MacKay of Rindge, class of 2028, majoring in robotics engineering.
