The United Church of Jaffrey will host its annual Strawberry Shortcake Festival on Saturday, July 4, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Parish Hall, 54 Main St.

The event, which coincides with the nation’s 250th birthday, will feature fresh local strawberries, homemade biscuits, fresh whipped cream, and hot and cold beverages. Small portions are available for $10 and large portions for $12. Payment can be made by cash or check.

Festival proceeds will benefit several local food ministries supported by the church, including the food pantry, Meals-on-Wheels, the Got Lunch program, senior food delivery, senior lunches, the Jaffrey Library mini-pantry, and the Jaffrey-Rindge Middle High School Food To-Go program.
