The Edge Ensemble Theatre Company will present Jen Silverman’s “The Roommate” as the second production of its 2026 season.
Directed by Kim Dupuis, the dark comedy stars Veda Crewe as Sharon, a divorced and lonely Iowa woman, and Cynthia Rodier as Robyn, a secretive Bronx native. The play follows the two women during a six-week cohabitation that leads to an unexpected friendship as they search for renewed purpose and identity.
“The Roommate” premiered in 2015 at Actors Theatre of Louisville and received a Broadway production in 2024 starring Mia Farrow and Patti LaPone.
Performances are May 29-30 and June 4-6 at 7:30 p.m., and May 31 and June 7 at 2 p.m., at The Edge Theater, 310 Marlboro Street, Suite 112, Keene. Tickets are $20 general admission and $18 for seniors and students. Tickets must be purchased at the door with cash or check only.
