Former Bennington resident Bill Nevins recently participated in Wreaths Across America Radioโs โAfter the Knockโ interview series, sharing memories of his late son, Sgt. 1st Class Liam J. Nevins, a U.S. Army Special Forces soldier killed in Afghanistan in 2013.
During the interview, Nevins discussed his role as a Gold Star parent, his poetry and reflections on military service and remembrance. He also spoke about his familyโs years living in Bennington and memories of the community.
Liam J. Nevins was born Sept. 11, 1981, and was killed in action in Afghanistan on Sept. 21, 2013.
