Monadnock Peer Support has received a $2,500 Community Impact Grant from Eversource Energy to support life-skills programming and field trips for adults experiencing mental health challenges in the Monadnock Region.

The Keene-based organization announced the award Thursday, saying the funding will help expand programs and services that address mental health challenges, social isolation and other life stressors.

โ€œWe are incredibly grateful to Eversource for investing in the health and wellbeing of our community,โ€ Executive Director Melissa Callender said in a statement. โ€œPartnerships like this help ensure that individuals across the Monadnock Region have access to compassionate peer support and meaningful connections that foster hope, resilience, and recovery.โ€

Founded in 1995, Monadnock Peer Support provides free peer-based mental health support, advocacy, education and community connection services to New Hampshire residents age 18 and older. Services include transportation, hot meals, field trips, support groups, fitness programs and residential services.

โ€œEversource is proud to support organizations like Monadnock Peer Support, who provides critical service to their members,โ€ the company said in a statement. โ€œFunding provided further reinforces Eversourceโ€™s commitment to supporting organizations that strengthen community well-being through compassionate, peer-driven, and recovery-oriented services.โ€
