Spring Hill Studio will host filmmaker and composer Kyle Turgeon on Saturday, April 25, for a live audio-visual performance of “Trying.”
The piece explores grief and memory through the story of a young couple coping with the loss of a family member. Turgeon performs the score live, looping and layering cello, synthesizer and piano, while a chance-based version of the film is assembled and projected in real time, creating a different experience for each audience.
Each performance begins with a group sound exercise and concludes with a conversation with the audience.
Doors open at 7 p.m., with refreshments and social time before the performance at 8 p.m. More information and tickets are available at springhillstudio.co/events/kyle-turgeon-presents-trying.
