Dublin will hold its third annual revitalized Clean-Up Day on Saturday, April 18, from 9 a.m. to noon, with lunch provided afterward at the DubHub.

The event is co-sponsored by the Dublin Community Center, Waste Reduction and Recycling Committee and Conservation Commission, and is intended as an early Earth Day celebration. Organizers are encouraging families to participate in roadside cleanup efforts throughout town.

Volunteers can gather at the DubHub beginning at 9 a.m. to pick up trash bags and sign up for cleanup locations. Participants will return at noon for hot dogs and prizes, including awards for student posters and unusual trash finds.

The event will also include the townโ€™s second Styrofoam recycling drive at the Transfer Station. Residents are invited to bring rigid Styrofoam; the first drive collected two large bags that were delivered to a recycling center in Gilford.

In addition, Dublin elementary students in grades K-5 are invited to create Earth Day- or cleanup-themed posters. Submissions will be collected April 17 and displayed at the Community Center, with homeschool families also welcome to participate.
