Aida Davis of Peterborough captured first place in the 800-meter run at the Greater Northeast Athletic Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships, held Feb. 15 at Boston University.
The Emmanuel College sophomore crossed the finish line three seconds ahead of her nearest competitor. Davis also helped the Saints’ 4×400-meter relay team to a first-place finish, nearly breaking the school record.
Emmanuel College’s women’s indoor track and field team secured the overall conference championship title for the third consecutive year.
