Apple Hill String Quartet brings classical music to Colonial Theatre

The Colonial Theatre will present the Apple Hill String Quartet on Sunday, March 8, at 2 p.m.

The Apple Hill String Quartet serves as artistic directors and resident musicians at the Apple Hill Center for Chamber Music in Nelson. The ensemble also leads Apple Hill’s Summer Chamber Music Workshop, guided by its philosophy, Playing for Peace.

The quartet’s programs feature works from the classical canon, new commissions and music reflecting its global travels and workshop community. Members include Elise Kuder and Jesse MacDonald, violin; Mike Kelley, viola; and Jacob MacKay, cello. The performance will include guest flutist Gretchen Pusch.
