ConVal’s alpine ski team battled cold temperatures and icy wind chill Jan. 23 and came away with a strong overall showing, led by a boys team victory. The girls finished a close fourth in the meet. Cole Dexter paced ConVal with a second-place finish, posting runs of 37.43 and 37.63 seconds. Logan Montano followed closely in third at 38.09 and 38.72, while Ben Carrara placed third among ConVal racers with times of 38.42 and 39.61. For the girls, Clara Wilsher led the way, finishing seventh. ConVal returns Friday, Jan. 30, for a 3:30 p.m. home slalom meet.
