The Cheshiremen Chorus, the Keene chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, will host an open sing for prospective members on Tuesday, Jan. 20, at 6:30 p.m. at the United Church of Christ in Keene, using the Vernon Street entrance.
The event is open to men interested in trying barbershop harmony and is designed as a no-audition, no-pressure introduction to the a cappella style. Participants will sing with chorus members and learn about the group, which is preparing to mark its 75th anniversary this year.
The Cheshiremen recently completed a busy holiday season with more than 15 community performances, between the chorus and UpGray’d Quartet, and are also booking their annual Singing Valentines.
