A four-evening, cross-partisan conversation series titled “Breaking Bread” will be held at the Hancock Library beginning Wednesday, Jan. 21, from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Organized by Main Street Cheese, LLC, the series centers on food and agricultural economics as a lens for exploring shared concerns in a time marked by economic uncertainty, political division and social change. No prior knowledge is required.

The opening session on Jan. 21 is an introductory evening and requires registration by Jan. 12. New Hampshire State Rep. Molly Howard, who serves on the House Environment and Agriculture Committee, and Jarvis Adams, a Republican candidate for the seat in 2022 and 2024, will participate in the first session.

Following the introduction, three additional sessions will be held Feb. 10, March 3 and March 25. These sessions are intended to be taken as a complete series and require paid registration by Jan. 30.

Each evening will include presentations, guided reflection, interactive exercises and facilitated conversation. The series is designed as a structured, respectful space for participants — including those with differing political views — to explore shared values, economic assumptions and hopes for the future through the common ground of food and agriculture.
