A memorial for Boston poet Charles Coe will be held Saturday, Jan. 10, at 2:30 p.m. at the Hancock Town Library.
Coe, a longtime friend of the library, died just two weeks before he was scheduled to lead a writing workshop at the library in early December. The news was met with shock and sadness by local readers and writers.
The library will host an informal gathering in the Daniels Room, where Coe frequently shared his work and connected with audiences. Those attending are invited to bring and read a favorite poem by Coe.
