The Jaffrey Public Library will accept โ€œgently usedโ€ book donations on Saturday, Dec. 13, from 10 a.m. to noon. Friends of the Library volunteers will be in the Bean Room to receive up to 15 books per person for the groupโ€™s ongoing sales.

Books must be in good condition with no writing, tears or stains. Popular items include recent hardback and paperback fiction, along with nonfiction and childrenโ€™s books. The Friends cannot accept magazines, encyclopedias, textbooks, travel guides or medical, financial advice or computer books.

Proceeds from book sales support library services such as T-Mobile hotspots, museum and park passes, the Ancestry.com database and adult programs. Sale shelves on the main and lower levels are reviewed and restocked weekly.

Book donations are accepted only during scheduled Saturday collection hours. The library asks donors not to drop off boxes or bags of books with staff or place them in the outdoor book return.
