This year’s Holiday Stroll brought festive colors and community giving as area churches welcomed shoppers the weekend before Thanksgiving with gifts, baked goods, plants and more.

Union Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, directed proceeds from its sales tables to both church programs and local organizations. Each table was staffed by a church group that selected where its earnings would go, resulting in more than $6,000 distributed to community-focused causes.

The Youth table raised $278 for ConVal End 68 Hours of Hunger. The Music Committee’s bake sale brought in $275 for the church’s music program. The Christian Service Committee raised $1,210 from its jewelry table for the South Meadow School Community Needs Fund.

The Attic Treasures team contributed $750 to the Pastor’s Discretionary Fund to assist families and individuals. Heavenly Harvest raised $1,831 from sales of pickles and wild grape jelly for the church’s Emergency Food Pantry.

The Crafters team generated $1,285 for the Avenue A Teen Center in Antrim, and Monday Night Suppers raised $465 to support weekly community meals.

Organizer Judy DeWitt said the event was the most successful Stroll yet.

Next year’s Holiday Stroll is scheduled for Nov. 21, 2026.
