The Journalism Education Foundation of New England is now accepting applications for the 2026 New England Journalism Scholarship Program, offering up to $2,000 to aspiring student journalists across the region.
Administered by the New England Newspaper & Press Association, the annual program supports up to 10 high-potential high school seniors and undergraduate students pursuing careers in journalism or related fields. One applicant will also receive the MacGregor Fiske Award, presented each year to an exceptional student journalist showing strong promise in the profession.
Eligible students must be residents of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island or Vermont. Applications must include a cover letter, transcript, résumé or biography, letter of recommendation, and a portfolio of at least three published or class-produced journalism pieces.
