The Peterborough Town Library will host You Can Make It Here: Building Artistic Community at MAXT” in its Community Art Gallery from Friday, Dec. 5, through Wednesday, Dec. 31.

The exhibit showcases work created at MAXT Makerspace, a community organization dedicated to expanding access to arts and technology in the Monadnock region. Visitors can view pieces in a variety of media, including textiles, glass, printmaking and animation, all produced through MAXT programs.

An opening reception is scheduled for First Friday, Dec. 5, from 5 to 7 p.m. Representatives from MAXT and exhibiting artists will attend to meet visitors and answer questions.

The show features work by young artists in MAXT’s Mini Makers program for elementary-aged children and its Junior Creatives program for middle school students. High school artists enrolled in the Young Creatives program will also display pieces.

The exhibit will highlight works created by participants with differing abilities through a partnership with Monadnock Worksource.
