Home Healthcare, Hospice & Community Services has appointed Karen Gomes as interim chief executive officer, effective Nov. 10. She succeeds Maura McQueeney, who is retiring after seven years in the role.
Gomes, a registered nurse with more than 20 years of leadership experience in geriatric care, home health, hospice and population health management, has worked with organizations across New England and New York. She is known for developing strategic plans tailored to organizational needs and challenges.
Most recently, Gomes served as owner and founder of RN Answers, LLC, a consulting firm supporting home health and hospice agencies, including HCS. She previously was president and CEO of Tufts Medicine Care at Home.
HCS provides home healthcare, hospice, and community-based services throughout the Monadnock Region.
