The Rindge Athletic Menโs Social Club, or RAMS, continued its annual tradition of supporting local veterans during the holiday season by delivering free turkeys ahead of Thanksgiving.
Founded to bolster local youth athletic teams, the group has expanded its charitable work over the years. For nearly 15 years, one of its efforts has been the โThank a Vetโ program, through which members identify Rindge veterans and provide them with a Thanksgiving meal.
This year, the RAMS delivered 36 turkeys to veterans in town and donated an additional 12 to the Rindge Food Pantry. Eight volunteers delivered the turkeys on Sunday, Nov. 9.
