Kyle Paolino of Rindge completed his Court of Honor to acknowledge his achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. Paolino, 17, is the first Eagle Scout for Rindge Troop 308 in four years. He completed his Eagle Scout service project last fall by organizing the cleanup of the Wood Family Cemetery, a privately owned burial ground of father and son Isaac and Elbridge Wood, who died of smallpox in 1848.

With donations from Belletetes, Inc. and KDI Landscaping, Paolino and Troop 308, along with adult volunteers, cleared the brush from the site, laid down new gravel and mulch, and rebuilt a wooden fence surrounding the land.

Paolinoโ€™s Court of Honor was held at the Rindge Meetinghouse on Friday evening. Paolinoโ€™s younger brother Ryan dressed him with his new neckerchief signaling his Eagle Scout rank, and his mother Nicole Paolino pinned him with his Eagle Scout Award medal.
