The Hancock Town Library will host Yankee humorist Fred Marple for a reading and performance on Thursday, Nov. 6, at 7 p.m.
Marple will present stories from his new collection, โUdder Nonsense: More Tales from Frost Heaves,โ featuring semi-true tales, rumors and misadventures from the fictional New Hampshire town of Frost Heaves.
The collection includes stories of small-town characters like Millard Tuttle rescuing Santa Claus, a prize pig disrupting romance, and a bingo champ outmatched by a chatty visitor.
The event is free and open to the public. For more information, call the library at 603-525-4411.
