Former Monadnock Ledger-Transcript reporter Eric Poor of Rindge has released his debut novel, “Invasive Species,” in collaboration with former Monadnock Ledger-Transcript sports reporter Joe Bills of Wilton.

The supernatural thriller introduces readers to an unsettling menace โ€” large, intelligent, and venomous wasps that threaten the fabric of small-town life.

Poor, a veteran journalist, channels decades of newsroom experience into the novelโ€™s characters and settings. Bills, now co-owner of Escape Hatch Books in Jaffrey, which published the book, described the story as โ€œa throwback to the pulp sci-fi and mystery novels that many of us grew up with.โ€

“Invasive Species” is available at The Toadstool Bookshops in Peterborough and Keene, Escape Hatch Books in Jaffrey, and on Amazon for $7.99.
