Electric Earth Concerts will present the Borromeo String Quartet on Saturday, Nov. 1, at 7 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Peterborough. The program will include works by Stravinsky, Britten, and Dvořák.

For more than 25 years, the Borromeo String Quartet has been recognized as one of the leading ensembles of its generation, praised for its bold interpretations and exploration of both classical and contemporary works. The Boston Globe has called the group “simply the best.”

A pioneer in the use of technology on stage, the quartet was the first to perform using laptops instead of printed sheet music, allowing the musicians to read directly from composers’ manuscripts. This approach, they say, enhances their understanding of each work and helps them share that insight with audiences and students around the world.

General admission is $30, with students admitted free. Tickets are available at electicearthconcerts.org or at the door. For more information, email joan.electricearth@gmail.com or call 603-499-6216.

The concert is sponsored by Nancy Roberts.
