Students at Greenfield Elementary School received a visit from the Greenfield Fire Department as part of Fire Safety Week on Thursday, Oct. 9. Chief Chazz Babb spoke with students about fire safety, introduced firefighters in full gear and gave students a tour of the truck.
“If you ever see someone like this coming to your house, you don’t need to be scared,” Babb said. “It’s just one of our firefighters with his or her equipment on.”
Students took turns approaching firefighters in full gear, asking questions, and exploring rescue equipment.
