Electric Earth Concerts will present the Verona Quartet with saxophonist Steven Banks on Friday, Oct. 10, at 7 p.m. at the Peterborough Town House.
The program, exploring themes of love through the lens of ancient Greek philosophy, features Christopher Theofanidisโs “Visions of the Hereafter” for saxophone and string quartet, alongside works by Debussy, Mendelssohn, Janรกฤek, Mozart and Reena Esmail.
The Verona Quartet, mentored by the Cleveland, Juilliard and Pacifica quartets, has earned international acclaim with top prizes from the Wigmore Hall, Melbourne, M-Prize and Osaka chamber music competitions.
