Electric Earth Concerts will present the Verona Quartet with saxophonist Steven Banks on Friday, Oct. 10, at 7 p.m. at the Peterborough Town House.

The program, exploring themes of love through the lens of ancient Greek philosophy, features Christopher Theofanidisโ€™s “Visions of the Hereafter” for saxophone and string quartet, alongside works by Debussy, Mendelssohn, Janรกฤek, Mozart and Reena Esmail.

The Verona Quartet, mentored by the Cleveland, Juilliard and Pacifica quartets, has earned international acclaim with top prizes from the Wigmore Hall, Melbourne, M-Prize and Osaka chamber music competitions.

Tickets are $30, available at electricearthconcerts.org or at the door by cash or check. Students are admitted free.
