The Monadnock Center for History and Culture will present Visitors from the Past, a dramatic tour of Peterborough’s Village Cemetery, on Saturday, Sept. 20.
The program introduces guests to nine of the cemetery’s residents, portrayed by costumed interpreters at their gravesites. Among those featured are Dr. David Smiley, farmer Mary Field, Governor John Hardy Steele and undertaker Joseph Ames.
Tours are organized in groups of 10, beginning at 10 a.m. with entry every five minutes. Tickets must be purchased in advance and will not be sold at the cemetery.
