The Wilton Historical Society will host a program on โThe History of Wiltonโs Masonic Lodgeโ on Saturday, Sept. 13, at 1:30 p.m. in the rotunda of the Wilton Public-Gregg Free Library.
Clinton Lodge No. 52, A.F. and A.M., was organized in 1827 and met in several locations, including what is now The Red House in Wilton Center. Its current Temple on Forest Street was built in 1896 as a gift from Past Master David A. Gregg on land donated by heirs of Dr. Joseph Fleeman. The building is regarded as one of the finest Masonic temples in New Hampshire.
The program will be presented by members of the Lodge. Admission is free.
