The inaugural Emberly’s Embrace charity fundraiser was a success, raising about twice its initial goal, according to organizer Jen Clayman of Rindge.

Clayman started the Emberly’s Embrace Foundation to raise funds in the name of her daughter, Emberly Rose, who was born stillborn at 39 weeks. Last weekend, The Range in Mason hosted a concert and event to help raise funds, which will be donated to Cheshire Medical Center to donate new car seats to parents of newborns.

“It was hot, but heartfelt,” Clayman said. “Everyone had a great time, and I am happy to report we are very close to the $5,000 mark, which was almost double our goal.”

Clayman’s original goal was to raise $2,500, to pay for 15 car seats.

“This was a great start for Emberly’s Embrace, and the positive impact we can have on the tiniest members of our community,” Clayman said.
