Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough recognized 20 nurses for their commitment to patient care during its 2025 Daisy Award ceremony, held this spring. Registered nurse Zoe Crowley of the Birthing Suite was named this year’s award recipient, honored for her support during two births — including one where labor progressed so quickly the baby was born within 30 minutes.
“This is a moment to pause and honor the nurses whose quiet strength and steady compassion are the heart of this hospital,” stated President and CEO Cyndee McGuire.
Chief Nursing Officer Vicki Campanile shared highlights from the 32 nominations submitted. Crowley’s nomination described her ability to stay grounded during fast-changing situations, while still supporting the patient’s birth plan.
“Zoe radiates pride in her work and makes every patient feel seen, safe and empowered,” Campanile stated. “She embodies the spirit of the DAISY Award.”
All nominees received a certificate and Daisy pin. Crowley was presented with “The Healer’s Touch,” a hand-carved sculpture symbolizing the connection between nurse and patient.
This year’s nominees included Amy Martel, Peter Beane, Brenda Breen, Riley Codman, Courtney Dunning, Hailey Goguen, Trish Harper-Lentricchia, Donna Infante, Kristen Pezzolesi, Angela Milano, Gwen Parmenter, Laura Moran, Emily Pelland, Meghan Perkins, Linda Dionne, Jen Sandlin, Lisa Seppala, Patrick Sullivan and Sarah Watton.
