A restoration of David Lean’s “Doctor Zhivago” will be shown at The Park Theatre, 19 Main St., Jaffrey, on Sunday, May 18, at 1:30 p.m.
The 1965 Oscar-winning film stars Omar Sharif, Julie Christie and Geraldine Chaplin in a love triangle set during the Russian Revolution. The cast also includes Alec Guinness, Rod Steiger and Tom Courtenay.
Directed by Lean and featuring Oscar-winning cinematography by Freddie Young and Maurice Jarre’s “Lara’s Theme,” the film runs over three hours.
