The 1933 classic film “King Kong” will be shown Friday, April 4, at 7 p.m. at The Park Theatre performing arts center, 19 Main St. in Jaffrey.

Directed by Merian C. Cooper and Ernest B. Schoedsack, the film follows filmmaker Carl Denham (Robert Armstrong) leading an expedition to Skull Island, where they encounter the colossal ape, Kong. Fay Wray stars as Ann Darrow, the actress who becomes the object of Kong’s affection. The film features stop-motion animation by Willis O’Brien and a score by Max Steiner.
