
Town Hall Theatre, 40 Main St., Wilton, will screen the silent adventure “The Mark of Zorro” on Saturday, March 29, and its sequel “Don Q, Son of Zorro” on Sunday, March 30. Both films begin at 2 p.m. with live musical accompaniment by Jeff Rapsis.
In “The Mark of Zorro” (1920), Douglas Fairbanks stars as Don Diego Vega, a wealthy young man who adopts the masked identity of Zorro to fight injustice in Spanish California. The film launched Fairbanks into a new era of swashbuckling roles.
“Don Q, Son of Zorro” (1925) continues the story with Fairbanks playing both Zorro and his son, Don Cesar de Vega. The younger Vega, while studying in Spain, is framed for murder and must fake his death to clear his name.
Admission is free with a suggested $10 donation.
