I am writing in support of Maggie Goodlander as our New Hampshire 2nd District representative in the U.S. House of Representatives.
I have been on the Antrim Ambulance for 41 years. Goodlander considers the opioid epidemic a priority issue. Having seen the devastation in New Hampshire caused by these horrible drugs – up close – I agree with Goodlander . I voted for Annie Kuster each time she ran. Now I think it is time for a change. Goodlander offers that change.
Kuster voted for the Trump banking bill, which raised the safety stress test trigger from $50 billion to $250 billion. That brought the failure of Silicon Valley Bank and Signature Bank. There is no New Hampshire bank that even reaches $50 billion. We need new eyes for the New Hampshire 2nd District. I think Goodlander brings a fresh look at policy, with broad experience in the three branches of government, active in the military and as counsel in Trump’s first impeachment trial. That impeachment trial showed me that Republicans now have devolved from truth-seekers to partisans who will accept criminal, amoral behavior to keep Trump in office.
That our sitting governor, when push came to shove, supports Trump for the highest office, is irresponsible. We need a fresh voice like Maggie Goodlander, who brings experience to the office, but not the baggage and political debt.
