An Antrim man has been indicted for allegedly fraudulently receiving veteran disability benefits.

According to an announcement Thursday from U.S. Attorney Jane E. Young of the District of New Hampshire, Christopher Stultz, 49, was indicted on one count of making false statements to the Department of Veterans Affairs. Stultz will appear in federal court in Concord at a later date.

According to the charging documents, between January 2003 and December 2022, Stultz falsely represented to the Department of Veterans Affairs that he was unable to use both his feet, thus obtaining veteran disability benefits that he was not entitled to.

The charge of false statements carries a sentence of up to five years in prison, up to three years of supervised release and a maximum fine of $250,000 or twice the gross gain or loss, whichever is greater. The Department of Veterans Affairs’ Office of the Inspector General led the investigation. Assistant U.S. Attorney Alexander S. Chen is prosecuting the case.
