Antrim Recreation Department will present “The Science of Storms” Friday Sept. 8, at 3:30 p.m. at Gregg Lake Beach Park.

The free program will discuss how lightning forms, what can the clouds tell people and where the wind comes from.   If weather is unsafe for outdoor programming, the program will be held indoors at Antrim Town Hall

“Stargazing” is set for Friday, Sept. 15, at 8:30 p.m. at Shea Field.

Ever since humans learned to speak, they have been using the stars to tell stories and navigate the world around them. The free program will include ancient constellation tales and information on the importance of reducing light pollution, both for the culture and ecosystems.

These programs are presented in partnership from The Student Conservation Association, New Hampshire State Parks and Antrim Recreation Department.
