The Park Theatre, 19 Main St. in Jaffrey, will present the London National Theatre production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s musical “Oklahoma!” July 26 and 29.
The cast features Hugh Jackman and Maureen Lipman, and is directed by Trevor Nunn, artistic director of the Royal National Theatre and director of “Cats,” “Starlight Express” and “Les Miserables.” Choreographer Susan Stroman won the Olivier Award for Best Choreography.
“Oklahoma!” marked the beginning of Rodgers’s and Hammerstein’s partnership, as they went on to create” Carousel,” “South Pacific,” “The King and I” and “The Sound of Music.”
Show times are Wednesday, July 26 at 2 p.m. and Saturday, July 29, at 6:30 pm. Tickets are $15 each, and can be purchased at theparktheatre.org or by calling the box office 603-532-8888. Group sales can be arranged with the box office.
