The Wilton Collaborative Space will be hosting several new events and programs in July. All are held at the WCS, 21 Gregg St. in Wilton
On Thursday, July 13, at 7 p.m., there will be an informational meeting on a new senior citizens science program. Due to a grant from AARP, a gazebo will be built along the Riverwalk to provide a comfortable, shaded space for senior citizen scientists. Attendees can learn to watch for wildlife along the river downtown or in their own yards and catalog sightings for Fish and Game and the state database.
For information, send email to Wilton Conservation Commission member Jennifer Beck jenniferscottbeck@mail.com, or text or call 603-400-0159.
On Thursday, July 27, at 7:30 p.m., Chris Griffin, a local spiritual healer and firekeeper, will offer perspectives on how people from ancient times to today have seen and experienced the natural world as a divine manifestation. Attendees will explore the view and practices related to healing with the spirits of plants, establishing relationships with sacred sites as a life practice for learning, healing and growth and connection through the spiritual presence of fire. The event is free.
On Sunday, July 30, from 2 to 6 p.m., Griffin will offer an opportunity to connect with the benevolent spirit of a powerful healing plant through study and a dream journey.
