On Saturday afternoon, Sharon residents gathered to clean up the gardens and grounds of the Meeting House.
Selinda Chiquoine, a volunteer for the gardening committee, organized the activities, which included trimming, weeding and raking. She was accompanied by Gina Goff, Susan Bowles, Claudia Lusky and Diane Callahan.
“In a small community like Sharon, we depend on our volunteers to help out,” Callahan said.
Group members agreed on the importance of upkeep around the Meeting House and the historic Red Brick Schoolhouse. They now hope for younger people to grow more involved and maintain the town, gardens and grounds so they feel welcoming.
